Sundays are very important to us.
I'm very protective of them.
It is the day of the week where our family comes together after
concluding a very busy week and we decompress.
Typically we don't have company, we don't make plans and we try to stay
home.
We begin our day at a leisurely pace. Quiet, slow, relaxing.
A big Sunday breakfast around 10:00 in the morning. I usually have some bread going.
I write or work on a small project.
The girls will tidy up their rooms and together will clean the
upstairs bathroom. I'll tackle the
cooking and the kitchen.
We'll run a couple loads of laundry.
We'll enjoy a wonderful supper and often a dessert.
There is usually a race or a football game to watch while we putter. A movie or favorite TV show after dinner.
Sounds perfect to me! I love how you wrote "I am protective of Sundays." I feel the same exact way. It is the day of the week where we all make a conscious effort for the day to be relaxing and calm and family oriented. I find that on those Sundays when everything just flows nicely and we get that relaxation, we feel more ready to tackle Monday as we start off the week. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly with you. I'm much better prepared for the week ahead.
DeleteThat is very nice! After church on Sunday we are generally in either a frenzied catch-up or get-ahead mode. Maybe I need to start protecting Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI used to use Sunday as my catch up day. Monday morning I woke up tired and with a bad attitude. I do much better now. :)
DeleteSundays seem to go by so fast for me. We come home from church and BAM it seems like it is time to go to bed!
ReplyDeleteThat was another reason to slow down the pace. We feel like Sunday lasts longer.

ReplyDeleteAren't they sweet. I use them all the time. Just love them. eBay. :)
