Only Six Months Until Christmas!

Can you even believe that?!

I can attest to how fast the past six months have flown right by so I have no doubt the next six months will too.  Therefore, I'd better get myself busy and come up with a plan.

Here is a list of things I need to do and soon:

Update my Christmas card list
Start a rough draft of the letter I tuck into each card
Start a gift list
Set a budget
Make a tentative plan for the holidays

I think I can knock this out over the weekend.

I am almost in shock that it is time to start working on this already.  When do you start planning for Christmas?  Have you already started?  Done any shopping?

  1. Oh don't remind me! I have already started, in fact I start the week after Christmas! This year I will only have part of the family here at Christmastime, but everyone will be here for Thanksgiving. I am going to shoo everyone out of the house for a few hours that Friday and have Christmas decorations up when they return, so I am already plotting and planning what to put where, when, how and putting a bug in a couple of our neighbor teen's ears that I will be needing some height and muscle that day and will be willing to pay for a little help. I have calculated 8 hands x 2 hours is enough time to get everything done as long as I am insanely organized. Which is why I am plotting and planning right now!

    1. Good for you Anne. Sounds like a huge endeavor but with a good plan you'll knock it out, I'm sure.

  2. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble right now. We have had a host of unexpected things happen and my son turns 11 in about two weeks. So that first then maybe I can think about Christmas. I do want to teach myself to crochet though

    1. Busy, busy. When you have time check out the how-to videos on YouTube. Great way to learn something new. They are really helpful.
