My February Meal Plan

It's the last day of January!  Already!

Our January meal plan started and ended great, but was pretty much hit and miss there the rest of the time.  Not to worry.  A new plan has been drawn up and the girls have given it their seal of approval.  We have some pretty good stuff planned:

Veggie pizza with whole wheat crust

Fish & Chips, Coleslaw
Breakfast Burritos, Pineapple
Veggie Pizza, Garden Salad
Clam Chowder, Biscuits, Coleslaw
Garlic Chicken, Pasta, Caesar Salad
Stir Fry, Steamed Rice
Cheese Omelets, English Muffins, Fruit
Navy Bean Soup, Cornbread, Garden Salad
Beef Enchiladas, Garden Salad
Split Pea Soup, Garden Salad
Veggie Quiche, Toast, Fruit
Sausage Pizza, Caesar Salad
Vegetarian Chili, Cornbread
Spicy Romano Chicken & Pasta, Garden Salad
Fried Rice, Cabbage Salad
Denver Scramble, English Muffins, Fruit
Quesadillas, Garden Salad
Vegetable Lasagna, Caesar Salad

Vegetable lasagna

You will notice there are a lot of meat less meals here.  The girls and I talked about it and decided we'd like to add more meat less meals this month and see how we like it.  Some are actual vegetarian dishes while others are just meat less.  It will be fun to try new recipes.

I will be posting more recipes in February for meals that cost us less than $5 so be sure to watch for those.

What kinds of delicious meals are you planning to make your family?

    1. I just couldn't seem to make weekly menu plans work for some reason.

  3. Excellent meal plan! I struggle with making meal plans, even for a week, so I am always in awe when anyone makes a monthly meal plan!

I'll be interested to know how the meat less meals work out for you. I've been wanting more fish and seafood, lately, but that costs even more than meat!

May I ask what you do for lunches for yourself and your daughters? Do you take leftovers? Do your girls take their lunches to school or have a school lunch?

    1. We take leftovers a lot and the girls love sandwiches. I make their lunches for them and they really appreciate it. Of course, they know if they complain they have to make it themselves, ha, ha. They have thermoses for warm foods too. I make a lot of soup and stick quite a bit in the freezer to use for lunches too.
