Spring is here! And
with it our annual invasion of fruit flies (groan). Last week we arrived home to discover we had
been invaded. My darling oldest wasted
no time in setting up the fruit fly trap.
She grabbed an empty
Snapple bottle out of the cupboard and poured about 1/4 cup of apple cider
vinegar in the bottom of it and set it on the kitchen counter. By morning the issue was resolved. No more fruit flies buzzing around, but quite
a collection of them in the bottle.
Ewwww.
Nothing quite like
good old fashioned ingenuity to tackle a pest problem. Sure beats a bunch of expensive chemicals and
pesticides, especially in your kitchen.
Ever tried this?
