As you might have expected most of
my attention and spare time has been spent on Laverne. We even managed to take her out for a weekend
getaway, which is exactly one of the many reasons I bought her. Still, I did manage to get a few things done
around the house. Quite a few, in fact.
But first this is what I have planned for
this month:
1. Make
or purchase a gift for someone
2. Send
a card or letter to someone
3. Family
Nite Out or Outing
4. Be
creative - sew or craft something
5. Do
some investment cooking
6. Go
on a hike
7. Learn
to do something new
8. Take
my children out for a thrifty date
9. Complete
a small home improvement project
10. Try another new recipe
11. Sell something on eBay
12. Enjoy a Family Movie Nite or a Family Game Nite!
13. Complete a retirement project
14. Donate something (or some things) to the thrift store
15. Invite guests over for dessert, appetizers or a meal
Left is before; right is after Wow! Big difference! |

And the rain finally stopped so I
was able to complete this one from last month:
11. Prune the fruit trees
I also completed this from several
months back:
9. Complete
a small home improvement project rebuilt the front gate
Spruced up the barn star |
May was a pretty darn good month,
I'd say. I'm looking forward to getting
some more things done in June. How are
things going with you? Any major, or
minor, projects tackled and accomplished?
Kudos on all your accomplishments! I really like the way you write your lists--some work items, some fun items. Laverne is adorable and I enjoy seeing all your improvements to her. I'm sure Laverne appreciates it--doesn't every gal love a makeover? :^)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue! I definitely think it has helped having fun things on the list too. And yes, every girl loves looking good and Laverne seems pretty happy, hee, hee. :)
DeleteI have someone coming over tomorrow to give me a quote on some yard work and hauling away my branch pile plus couch and chair...I should be able to keep up with the yard work after it's done...completing small quilts, hooked rugs and punch needle pieces is also on my list...Love Laverne and all the work you're putting in to her...she's a doll!
ReplyDeleteWow Kelley, sounds like some great progress. I'm having a ball working on Laverne. Thanks!
DeleteYou area tornado of work my dear!
ReplyDeleteNot sure what has gotten into me lately, ha, ha. ;0)
DeleteDid you do a post on restoring your cabinets? Are they in your house or in Laverne? They look great!
ReplyDeleteA post will be coming on the cabinets. I have lots to share! :0)
DeleteYou did great with your May goals and I am sure you'll do just as well in June! My June goals are mostly health related as I am having some issues. I've posted my goals, here (I hope it is OK to post a link? If not, please delete): http://bless2cents.blogspot.com/2017/06/june-balanced-life-monthly-goals.html
ReplyDeleteTotally fine to post it and I will go and check them out! Thanks!
DeleteYou are definitely a ' go getter'! I need to make bigger lists!! Your cabinets look great!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm so happy with how they turned out. Can't wait to share that post with all of you. Soon!
