Goals For July

Well, I didn't get as much done as I had planned on, but I was no slouch either.  We were busy!  Two of the major things I wanted to get done (chicken coop expansion and compost bin) are done.  And we managed to fit in quite a bit of thrifty fun too!

Went swimming

This is what I have planned for this month:

1.          Make or purchase a gift for someone
2.         Send a card or letter to someone
3.         Family Nite Out or Outing
4.         Be creative - sew or craft something
5.         Do some investment cooking
6.         Go on a hike
7.         Learn to do something new
8.         Take my children out for a thrifty date
9.         Complete a small home improvement project
10.       Try a new recipe
11.        Sell some things on eBay or Craigslist
12.        Enjoy a Family Movie Nite or a Family Game Nite!
13.        Complete a retirement/motorhome project
14.       Donate something (or some things) to the thrift store
15.        Invite guests over for dessert, appetizers or a meal

I hope you are having a great summer.

  1. You checked off quite a bit from last month's list. I need to make a list too. I tend to do more if I can stay focused.

    1. I prefer to mark off everything, but I'm learning to be okay if I don't. ;0)

  2. I started working on a new outdoor dining table for my patio. I'm making it with a pallet I had, I'm hoping to finish it today! I'm sure there must be more I got done but since I don't make monthly list goals like you do I can't remember... that old age thing creeping up on me :(

    1. My lists are just an extension of my brain. It isn't that I'm forgetful its just that my harddrive is full and my RAM is slower than the younger generation. :0)

  3. I love your goals, I may have to copy them in the fall after we've moved and are situated! My goals for this month are to be sure absolutely *everything* is done and ready for our move halfway across the country! Eep! Lots to do!! Good luck with your gaols this month! :)

  4. I think you actually got a lot accomplished this month. :) As for me, I did not get a whole lot done, but hey, my health dictates what I can and cannot do. It is what it is.

    1. Agreed. I find that if I have a really productive and busy weekend, or week for that matter, I pay for it later. Rest up and hit it again. I still haven't learned to pace myself. Frustrating at times, but yes, it is what it is.
