September went by in a flash and
it is October already. Leaves are
changing and falling off the trees and I scarcely remember summer. We had one, right?
Here is a sneak peak of something I've been working on. I'll be sharing more on Thursday! |
This is what I have planned for
this month:
1. Make
or purchase a gift for someone
2. Send
a card or letter to someone
3. Take
my children out for a thrifty date
4. Be
creative - sew or craft something
5. Complete
three
Christmas gifts
6. Go
to the library
7. Learn
to do something new
8. Spring
clean kitchen/entry way
9. Complete
a small home improvement project
10. Try a new recipe
11. Work on our annual Christmas letter
12. Enjoy a Family Movie Nite or a Family Game Nite!
13. Complete a retirement/motorhome project
14. Winter ready the chicken coop
15. Invite guests over for dessert, appetizers or a meal
Cleaned out my berry stash in the freezer and made some really yummy jam. I made some cute labels and dressed them up in gingham. Christmas gifts! |
We'll see how much I get
done. I'm hoping to cross of everything this time. This is how I did last month:
1. Make
or purchase a gift for someone
2. Send
a card or letter to someone
3. Take
my children out for a thrifty date
4. Be
creative - sew or craft something
5. Complete
three
Christmas gifts
6. Go
on a hike
7. Learn
to do something new
8. Spring
clean living/dining room
9. Complete
a small home improvement project
10. Try a new recipe
11. Take donations to the thrift store
12. Enjoy a Family Movie Nite or a Family Game Nite!
13. Complete a retirement/motorhome project
14. Replace the broken fencepost in the backyard
15. Invite guests over for dessert, appetizers or a meal
Finished up some unfinished projects - Yay! |
In between school activities and
visits with friends I did manage to get a few things done around here. Only a couple of things I didn't get to, but
overall I'm happy with my progress. How
about you? Did you make a list or
accomplish any specific goals you had set for yourself lately? You know I love to hear all about it!
I don't have a list, but your list reminded me I need to mail my son's phone charger to him today. lol He left it while visiting this weekend. I do love your bowl/basket cover that you made.
ReplyDeleteThanks and glad I could help! ;)
DeleteHi Thrifty, I do enjoy your shared lists. I am also a list person, but never thought of sharing my complete list on my blog, which I will do. Thanks for the idea. I stole your method of monthly tracking of grocery expenditure and morphed it a bit with another fellow blogger's (http://www.creativesavv.com/2017/10/september-2017-grocery-spending-journal.html) Check out my blog, if curious: CTonabudget.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI will! :0)
DeleteGreat month! I am going to have to go back to my joy list. I miss it.
ReplyDeleteYes you should Anne! :0)
DeleteI wish lists worked for me...if I write them I lose or ignore them...I'm currently working on the sewing room...selling off excess stash, organizing and cleaning it...an ongoing project that is finally getting near completion...it has long been in the "worse before it gets better stage"...and by sewing room I mean 2 rooms...also going through my parents huge collection of flannel sheets...boy did they love LL Bean...the worn ones are being turned into rags, most of which will go to an animal shelter...
ReplyDeleteYou are making great strides. Sounds to me like you don't really need a list. :)
