Valentines & Gift Tags

Last year I made some cute little Valentine Gift Tags to use on some goodies I gave to my loved ones.  In my continuing endeavor of using up what I have on hand I decided to make some again this year.  This weekend I will be digging out my glue, scissors and scrap stash to make new gift tags for the goodies I have planned and will be making on Sunday.

I also want to make a few cards.  I am sending out Valentines to loved ones that live far away.  I had one left from previous years in my stash to use up so I will make a couple more cards to send using up some more scraps from my stash and a piece of card stock.  I have loads of envelopes on hand too, otherwise I would've made some of those.  Tons of stickers left too from what I bought at Dollar Tree last year.  I'm going to be busy using stuff up for a while.

Here is a thrifty little gift idea I posted last year in case you are in need a small little something.  What do you have planned?

  2. I am making my Valentines this year also. As much as I love my family, I don't feel the need to spend 5 or so bucks each just to tell them I love them.

    1. I'm with you. I don't feel the need to spend $$ to make sure they know I love them.

  3. I've only made about 3 Valentine's Day cards so far. One was a card I shamelessly copied from a Christmas card I shamelessly copied from you Christmas tag post.

    2. I believe she is referring to a fellow blogger CT On A Budget. Single mom, remodeling her home and finding frugal ways to live her life. I enjoyed her very much.

  7. Such a lovely post! There is nothing better than a handmade Valentine and yours are so very pretty. My Valentines to my friends will have to wait till next month because our weather is not manageable now. I live a bit southeast of Seattle and the roads are covered and we will be having snow off and on all next week. So I can't get out and my smocking meeting will be cancelled for sure, so March it will be and I don't think anyone will mind. I will enjoy all my valentine displays around the house and keep my fingers crossed that we don't lose power! I even have some chocolates left over from Christmas.

    1. You are getting dumped on. I have friends in your area sending me pics. We were supposed to get some of it over the weekend but haven't so far. Just a little bit of snow. I hope your power stays on! Take care and stay well. Happy Valentine's Day. :)

  8. CT on a Budget is only on Facebook now, as a closed group. You can send a friend request, I think.
