We are going back in time
to resurrect one of our old Christmas holiday meal plans. This year we are doing a ham and surprisingly
my girls are really excited about it. We
haven't done ham for Christmas in a good long time so this is going to be a
welcome change for us.
Cranberry Glazed Ham
Cheddar Potatoes
Baked Beans
Cabbage Salad
Biscuits & Butter
Gingerbread
Wine & Sparkling
Cider
At Thanksgiving we talked about our Christmas menu plans and I could not believe how excited they were about this ham and all of the things we could do with the leftovers. They are super excited to make my grandma's ham salad. It really is the simple things in life, you know? I would love to hear what is on your menu plan for Christmas this year.
We go to my parents for the holidays, so my mom is in charge of the menu (we are flying in, so not bringing food, but will contribute financially). Christmas Eve is usually appetizers, prime rib sliders, a few veggie sides & Christmas cookies. On Christmas Day, we have brunch + mimosas, and then have soup, salad & bread in the evening.
ReplyDeleteThat all sounds wonderful!
DeleteWe are going to visit my kids in Seattle and will be brining our fondue pot - we'll have cheese, meat, and chocolate...a family tradition for the last few years and even though the kids are in another state, we can still work it out.
ReplyDeleteSue that sounds amazing. We need to dig out our fondue pot.
