I finished
assembling my last journal. But I'm not
really finished. I'm actually just
beginning!
I picked up another mini binder and package of sheet protectors at Walmart |
I decided to make a
journal to keep inside Laverne who, for those who may not know, is my new to me
1987 Chevy Winnebago motorhome. I've
been lovingly restoring her since the day I brought her home. I thought having a journal to keep track of
things when I hit the road would be fun.
I chose papers that
kind of matched her and her decor.
And
of course I used the fun travel embellishments my youngest spotted at the
dollar store when I was shopping there for craft supplies.
It will be a work in
progress. I've tucked in lots of fun
things to use when I am journaling and I'm sure I'll add more as time goes on.
With all the fun I
had making my journals I sure couldn't leave Laverne out of the picture.
That is a great idea and a relatively easy way to keep up with your travels with Laverne!
ReplyDeleteI think so. I can hardly wait to start using it.
DeleteThat will be fun! When I was little my parents belonged to a car club and we pulled a little travel trailer and traveled a lot with the club. They picked up a magnet from each place we went and put it on the trailer fridge.

That is neat. I know people that get stickers too and I may collect those to put inside. My fridge isn't metal so magnets won't stick.
DeleteOh how exciting! and what a great idea! I want to travel on Laverne with you! :-))))
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there will be loads of posts all about it! :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful idea! I'm sure it will be fun to track your travels as you go.
ReplyDeleteI think so too!
DeleteSuch a good idea to keep a journal. You think you'll remember everything but you don't. It's kind of like when I took all those pictures years ago and never wrote on the back names, places, dates, etc. I thought I'd remember. I don't.
ReplyDeleteExactly. You always do think you'll remember, but you don't (sigh).
DeleteSo you will know, I am now pushing my husband to get us a Laverne also. We must keep up with my blog neighbors, of course.
ReplyDeleteMy three sons are all applying for jobs in three different states (none of these states are the one we live in). Long road trips will become necessary soon. This past weekend (while crying) my husband and two sons read all of your posts about Laverne together. We discussed all types of things like showering in a tiny bathroom (I don't mind), where to dump sewage (their problem not mine), kitchen cabinet storage (my concern not theirs) and whether or not the always carsick dog can handle the trips (everyone's problem.)
It has given us hope that we can still be together again. Thank you for the time and effort you spend on your blog. It makes a difference.

Yes! That is awesome! I had a carsick dog once too. I covered everything I could with a sheet and she'd always find the one spot that wasn't. She loved to camp though so I guess it was worth it.
DeleteI can hardly wait to hear about your "Laverne". Whoo hooooooo!
