  1. I love your menus. I will be borrowing some of your menu ideas for my own dinners. You are such a great example of providing for your family as a single parent and living frugally. Great job! I came from a single mom family and had all of my necessities. You're doing the same for your girls. You have put together a very informative blog and I enjoy reading it. I'm new here so I will have to go back and read previous info that you have written. Dee

    1. Dee thank you so much for all those wonderful compliments. It means so much to me to hear that. Welcome and I hope you continue to enjoy this blog. Please help yourself to as many ideas as you see fit. That is the whole reason I write this blog. Take care!

  2. I don't do my meal planning like you but it works for the two of us. I shop the sales and since I have cooked forever I have tons of meals recipes and have a well stocked pantry, etc. From there I work out our meals. It is hard for me to decide if I want to eat a certain meal two weeks from now. If you understand what I am saying. I am still working on the freezer so purchased less than $100 worth of food this month and most of it was sale items for the pantry. :-D

    1. Whatever works best for you is what you should do. I think it is great the way you have worked it out, stocked your pantry and take advantage of sales. Your meager grocery dollars spent prove your system is working well for you. Pat yourself on the back!

  3. I just ate lunch before I read your menu, but now I am hungry again after reading it! Your dinners sound delicious!
This month I am going to browse through my cookbooks (which have been collecting a lot of dust lately) and try to come up with some "out-of-the-box" (for us) meals. I am also going to attempt something that I never have done before- I am going to look for a recipe and try my hand at making a cheesecake! I have 2 frozen packages of cream cheese that I need to use up. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)
