Monthly Menu Planner - November

Another month is coming to a close already and another month of planned meals is ready to be posted on the side of our refrigerator.  Sometimes I find myself caught in a rut when it comes to our meals but a plan definitely makes it easier for us, especially when our schedule gets hectic.  And lately it really has been busy around our house.

Homemade bread sticks

This is what we have planned for our meals next month:

Italian Sausages, Pasta, Caesar Salad
Chicken Quesadillas, Salsa, Sour Cream, Lettuce & Tomatoes
Egg Scramble, Toast, Fruit
Minestrone Soup, Bread Sticks, Garden Salad
Pork Verde, Steamed Rice, Cheese, Sour Cream
Macaroni & Cheese, Smoked Sausage, Peas & Carrots
Eggs Benedict, Pineapple Slices
Italian Black Bean Soup, Cornbread, Garden Salad
Herb Roasted Chicken, Potatoes, Baby Carrots
Tomato Basil Pasta, Tossed Green Salad
Waffles, Sausage Patties, Fruit Salad
Beef Enchiladas, Lettuce Wedges, Corn
Egg Sandwiches, Sliced Peaches
Sausage Pesto Pizza, Caesar Salad
Lentil Soup, French Bread, Garden Salad
Broccoli Beef, Steamed Rice

Minestrone soup

I incorporated a lot of use of leftovers again this time.  Not only will we make sure to minimize food waste but it will also mean I will have fewer meals to cook and extra time to focus in other areas.  We also have a couple birthdays to celebrate as both girls are November babies.  So there will be a couple special meals to prepare for them.

And we've opted to go non-traditional this year with our Thanksgiving Day menu:

Lasagna
Spinach Salad & Asian Vinaigrette
Olives & Assorted Pickles
Cheesecake

Are you a crazy meal planner like me?  What wonderful things do you have planned to eat?

  1. We had lasagna for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and loved it. We have also bbq'd hamburgers for the holiday. Loved it. We had exactly what we wanted to eat.

    1. I see nothing wrong with it. :) And to be perfectly honest I'm not willing to shell out the big bucks for a turkey this year.

  2. We usually have Lasagna for Christmas dinner. Growing up we always had a turkey for Thanksgiving and for Christmas we had Lasagna and for New Years we had a Ham with side dishes. I guess I tend to stick to what I'm used to because that is pretty much what I do every year. We have had some years where we totally scrap tradition for one reason or another but I always try to make sure we have a nice home cooked meal regardless. :)
Your menu sounds delectable!! I may snatched a few of your ideas for my November plan. :)

    1. Help yourself to as many ideas as you like. :) We usually have turkey at Thanksgiving, Prime rib at Christmas and Chinese food on New Years. So lasagna is really switching it up for us this year.

  3. We too have lasagne for Christmas. Yours looks better than mine. Mine is sometimes to dry??
I love your monthly menus. It's terrific you plan such wholesome meals for your family. I was just reading another blogger who has young children and was completely shocked at how awful the meals were. She posted what they ate for a month and wow. I don't think there was one crockpot meal or roast.
So you should be proud of your careful and nutrious food planning.
