I love this gift idea! And not only is it a good one for Christmas,
but it would work well too as a birthday gift, shower gift, housewarming
present, even for Mother's Day. And who
wouldn't love to be the recipient of this?!

Super simple and you
can do it one of two ways. Either
purchase a brand new baking pan from the store or if your recipient is into the
old stuff you could do this with a vintage pan purchased from a thrift store or
antique mall. You know if you give me a
pink Pyrex baking dish as a gift I'm in heaven!
Once you figure out
the baking dish or pan you want to give simply add something to bake in
it. For a cake pan, to me the obvious
choice is a couple of yummy cake or brownie mixes. Maybe even a tub of frosting too.
Baking mixes can be
picked up and set aside whenever they are on sale. You probably have a couple extra ones in your
pantry, truth be told. With baking
sheets I think it would be fun to do the cookie mixes, with some sprinkles and
a spatula. You are good to go.
Or, get even more
creative and make your own homemade baking mix in a quart jar. Attach the instructions with a card and some
ribbon too. You are only as limited as
your own imagination. So many
possibilities. Just have fun with it.
And remember, only 8
more months until Christmas! Ha, ha!

I have done something similar for cake walks that my children have sponsored. These no-baked options were usually the first to go and waaaaay easier than decorating a cake or having to bring home several cakes!!

Of course I have to wait for gift card deals and items that will only be released over the holidays, but I've planned for it and save towards it. I try to pay for Christmas with earned gift cards, CC points and by selling our old stuff.
I'm trying to do a "no spend" Christmas this year with gift cards and freebies. I'm a little envious that you have hit the halfway mark already.
DeleteI’ve started buying a few gifts already. I’ve also pulled apart two wool sweaters to make dryer balls. I have just enough but i’d like to make a few more. Wool sweaters are hard to find!

I confess, I've done very little in the way of gifts. I've got my cards and gift wrap supplies ready though and a list made so at least I know what the plan is.
