Holy moly
folks! I am feeling the pressure
now. With only two months left to go
I've got to get it in gear! I'm making
some headway but not near where I was hoping I'd be.
I've
decided to buy cards this year rather than make them (unless I get super
crafty) as our printer is old and we are having difficulty finding ink jet
cartridges. They aren't making them
anymore and the last ones we got were terrible.
Time for an upgrade I'm afraid.
Kind of irritates me because the printer is absolutely fine. I may try the refurbished cartridges. Have any of you used those?
Our holiday menus
are planned and we are going to eat quite well and it isn't going to cost us an
arm and a leg either. I've got the
Christmas steaks in the deep freeze and our sides dishes and desserts will be
simple. I'm very much looking forward to
baking some goodies and decorating the house.
We still have much
to do and I'll be posting some of the things we create so you can make some too
if you like. How are your preparations
going? Have you started yet? I know some of you have shared that you
prefer to wait until it is much closer to the actual day. I'm still sticking to my deadline of
Thanksgiving weekend to get all my gifts finished up. Wish me luck!
Your Christmas crafts are sooo adorable!!! I have a few small gifts to purchase and then usually give homemade Chocolate bark to most. Thanks for the reminder, I need to start looking for containers to put the bark in.
ReplyDeleteLike to shop the yard sales and thrift for containers.
Enjoy, Janie
Thanks Janie,
DeleteI noticed some containers at the dollar store today. They are starting to get the Christmas things out now.
Great, Thanks for the heads up!! :)
Deleteyour underwear and crafts look store bought - they are that excellent !!! I wish I had your skills. I am behind in christmas shopping, but working on a 100 dollar Visa gift card for doing surverys -- one hundred thousand points equals 100 dollars and I am at 90 thousand,,,,so just a few more days - maybe ten and I will have my gift card to shop with....thinking I will do online black friday....
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind. Thank you.
DeleteThat is great that you are working on that gift card. What a smart way to fund Christmas!
I am only half done with one daughter's rag quilt. The last two weekends had multiple activities which kept me from having time to sew. I did get the last half of the quilt cut this past Sunday afternoon so I am ready to finish up the sewing. I am really hoping to finish it off this weekend. I have designed one for my other daughter and need to get started on it as soon as possible. I have other ideas I would like to make too but I am not sure what all I can fit in. I am trying to keep reasonable expectations. Those snowmen & penguins were adorable! I would love to make some of those sometime too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to get time to sew soon. They are going to love those quilts. I hope you share a picture when you are done.
