It has been a long
winter. I know this because I've been so
antsy to hit the road. I mean really hit
it. For a looooooooong time. If only working for a living didn't interfere
so much (sigh).
I am constantly
looking at RVs (I really miss my
Scamp). I watch tons of videos on
Youtube about everything to do with travel, RVing and nomadic lifestyles. And I talk about it..... a lot.
I send my friends clips and links and pictures and, and, and.... And now I've got them sending me stuff!
My latest heartthrob |
How about this itty bitty thing? |
My Amazon wish list
is loaded! Camping equipment
galore! I've checked out solar set ups
and generators. "What if I do this? What if I do that?" I've even been building composting toilets in
my head. I've probably even dreamed
about them. Good grief!
Yes folks, I've got
it bad. I've been bitten by the bug out
bug and I predict it may be a long recovery.
A looooooooong recovery.
I've always wondered about the mileage on RVs. Doesn't the gas consumption make for an expensive vacation? Or is it not about cost, and more about a lifestyle and/or experience? Either way, your Scamp looks adorable! (And economical -- perfect, in other words!)
ReplyDeleteThe Scamp was perfect. Depending on the RV you can be fairly economical or you can blow through the fuel. Our little Scamp was really economical to tow with our pickup. I personally wouldn't be happy with a gas guzzler.
DeleteLol. This made me smile! I am feeling antsy too- winter does that. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have talked about getting an RV one day. We even tortured ourselves by going and browsing a lot with these big beautiful RV'S and walked away with a plan in our minds for when we retire. :)
So fun to dream though isn't it? I personally wouldn't want one of those big fancy rigs. But I wouldn't mind another little trailer or a mini motorhome.
DeleteWinter definitely does this to us..
ReplyDeleteWhat fun , one could have if.if.if.. Oh well...too many if's. lOL
Best wishes with your dreams and future possibilities.. smile
Thank you Judy. It is fun to look and dream about them.
DeleteYou are a gypsy at heart. So is my Dad, oldest son and my sister. They each scratched their "itchy feet" in different ways. My Dad was a long distance Greyhound bus driver. When he was not working, his favorite pastime activity was taking my Mom out for drives. My sister has moved/bought/rented/changed houses on average every three years now for 30 years. She said it satisfies her "inner gypsy". My oldest son, will get in his car and just go.
ReplyDeleteIf you ignore it, the urge will only get stronger. It is like going on a diet. All you want is chocolate!!!!

Yeah, I think you are right. I'm pretty sure I'll be scratching that itch. And eating chocolate while I'm doing it! :)
