August was HOT and busy for us. Nonetheless I did pretty darn good on the ol' "To Do" list, I think. I didn't get it all
done, but I did get a fair amount so I am pretty pleased.

I'd like to get some home improvement projects done around here
now that the weather is cooling off.
Hopefully our schedule will cooperate as well.
I would like to entertain.. just with a dessert & coffee. What time of day do you do that so it doesn't run into meal time? Like you, hopefully the weather will cool off or quit being so humid!
ReplyDeleteWe had dessert on a Sunday at 1:00 pm. Then last Friday we had people come over at 7:00 pm for cake and ice cream. Funny how people rarely turn down an invitation for dessert. :)
Deletethis will probably sound dumb but I'm challenged in the cooking part.........what all do you have in your homemade chicken stock?
ReplyDeleteNot dumb at all. It is really simple. I cook down the chicken bones with onion, carrots and celery and water. I don't add any other seasoning because I'm not always sure what I'll use it in.

You have done great! I really like you list too for this month. Mine basically consists of trying to process all the good food that we are harvesting right now and spending time with family. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you have been doing a fantastic job of that! Now I'm in winter squirreling mode. :)
