This time I
purchased A LOT of fresh produce. Our
freezer is fully stocked so at the first of the month I headed off to Winco to
fill in the blanks on some pantry items and to resupply our herbs and spices
from the bulk bin. I bought quite a few
items from the bulk bin and found the costs to be significantly lower over
purchasing off the shelf. Good deal!
Trader Joes |
I liked Trader Joes. They didn't have everything I needed so I ended up finishing at Fred Meyer that trip, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were pretty reasonable. So will I be going back? Yes, actually, I think I will.

$168.42 ÷ 28 days ÷3 people = $2.00 per person per day!
This budget month runs from February 1 through February 28
I think 2 bucks per person a day is just about outstanding!
ReplyDeleteIt really isn't too bad is it? And this is the most food I have purchased in a long while. Certainly the longest list of food! ;)
DeleteI think that is amazing actually. I stocked up on burger, and cereal.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. We loaded up on burger and chicken last month. I won't be buying meat for quite some time now, I think. :)
DeleteVery healthy!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm trying. :)
Deletemy cupboards are bare...I did stock up on 90+ rolls of tp this month...March will be my fill the fridge and cupboards month since I'm almost starting with nothing but cat food and saltiness...
ReplyDeleteI'd hate to think of you eating cat food on your crackers - ha, ha. Hope you find lots of great bargains!
DeleteSounds like you did very well, even with going over by a bit. :) I stocked up on canned tuna ($.50/can) and sugar ($4.79/10 lb.)
ReplyDeleteThat is great!
