My Menu Plan - November

Yep, that’s right.  It is already November.  Here's what's cooking at our house:

Pepperoni Pizza
Chicken Curry & Rice

I made a separate menu plan for Thanksgiving dinner and, of course, I'll be sharing that with you in another post.  There should be lots of great leftovers to enjoy for lunches this month.  Very much looking forward to the turkey dinner leftovers.  Yum!

  1. Oh gosh- my mouth is watering after reading your menu for the month! :) Everything you have planned sounds so good. I am impressed that you know so many ways to make eggs- I only know the basic scrambled, hard-boiled and over-easy. Eggs are so economical as well as healthy and delicious! Do you have a post on your blog about different ways to make eggs?
    It's funny that you have Beef Enchiladas on your menu- this afternoon I made Ground Beef Enchiladas for the first time (I didn't use a recipe, I just experimented and held my breathe to see how it turned out- it came out great!) I typed up a post about it- coming soon. haha.
    Can't wait to see your Thanksgiving Day menu. And you're right- the leftovers are the best part! :)

    1. I'll just bet you and I make our enchiladas the same way. Ha! I probably should do a post about eggs. That is a great idea! Thanks! Are you fixing dinner this Thanksgiving? I'm hoping to find a big bird super cheap. I can make a ton of meals out of it. Yum!

    2. Making these enchiladas was a total experiment for me- I think my choice of ingredients was a little strange, so if we do make them the same I will fall on the floor laughing. I guess it wouldn't surprise me though! ;)
      I am making Thanksgiving dinner- I always do the whole thing myself. We invite my brother, a friend of my husband's and my grandmother from the nursing home for dinner and I send them home with tons of leftovers. Actually because we have to do Black Friday newspapers on Thanksgiving Day (they are the largest papers of the whole year) and we are up all night we do not usually do Thanksgiving dinner until the weekend. This works out great each year because the day after Thanksgiving I get turkeys for 50% off at the grocery store. They always have a ton left to get rid of and I make sure to get there early in the morning and pick out a few of them. I have gotten 26+ pound turkeys for less than ten dollars! We get tons of meals out of just one big bird, so when I get 3 of them we stretch them out for a loooonnng time! :)

    3. I find the bigger the bird the more meat. Know point in a smaller bird, too scrawny. I've never bought one more than 20# though. Maybe I'll experiment and get a bigger one this year. Ours don't go on sale after Thanksgiving like yours do. They offer them cheap or free with purchase and by Thanksgiving they are pretty well picked over. I feel for you guys doing the papers. My brother had routes for years and years and Black Friday was a big job. He usually didn't sleep all night getting them ready to go and delivered.
