I thought I
would share with you some of the meals we have been enjoying at our house
lately. Simple summer fare that was
tasty and satisfying despite the hot weather.
| Ground beef patty, tossed green salad and pickles |
Salads were a mainstay, to be sure. Lots of fresh crisp vegetables with homemade salad dressings.
| Vegetable beef soup, homemade biscuits |
| Sirloin steak, red potatoes with sour cream and garden salad |
| Spaghetti with meat sauce |
| Pork chops, rice pilaf, peas & carrots, tossed green salad with olives |
| Burgers with the works! |
| Pasta with chicken & mushrooms, steamed broccoli |
Egg dishes were prepared once a week. Since we have a steady supply it was and easy and obvious meal choice.
| Cheese omelets, whole wheat toast, fruit salad |
| Broccoli cheddar quiche, sour dough toast |
| Egg salad on toasted English muffins |
| Hard boiled eggs to eat or slice and add to salads |
In addition to homemade salad dressings we enjoyed some other homemade foods.
| Big batches of almond granola |
| Vanilla yogurt |
| Brown bread |
| Oatmeal raisin cookies |
| Cream puffs filled with homemade vanilla pudding |
We eat pretty darn good around here, if I do say so myself. I sure do get a lot of satisfaction in preparing delicious meals for my little family.
Your food looks fabulous! I have not made cream puffs in a long time. Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne. Those cream puffs were pretty darn good too! ;)
